- Breakfast Talk on Human Capital Management in the Boardroom
A part of FIDE Forum’s on-going efforts is to organize activities to provide an avenue for director-networking and provide an opportunity for Directors to garner first-hand experience and insights into topical issues by industry experts.
In this regard, the Board is pleased to invite members of FIDE Forum to attend a Breakfast Talk – Human Capital Management in the Boardroom on Tuesday 14 August 2012 at the Discussion Lounge, (4th Floor) Lanai Kijang, No.2 Jalan Berjasa, 50480 Kuala Lumpur from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Dealing with human capital issues can be a challenging task for directors and Boards. They have to take three perspectives into account, their strategic responsibilities, their risk management responsibilities and their responsibility to operate as an effective Board. Some of the issues that need to be addressed include:
- What is the proper role for the Board in the management of human capital and related risk in the organization?
- What are the key human capital issues in Board and director effectiveness?
- How do we assess our human capital strategy?
- How do we assess human capital risk?
The talk will be presented by Mr Christopher Bennett who will explore these issues, using latest research and practical examples. Chris is a member of our faculty on the ICLIF FIDE program and has over 30 years of experience in regional line operations and human resource management with global firms. He teaches, writes about, and advises on, Human Capital in the Boardroom and ‘C’ suite and works with Boards, directors and “C” suite executives on these and related governance issues in multi-national and Asian corporations and government linked organizations in a variety of industries.
