The FAQs are divided into three areas :

General

  1. What is FIDE admission policy?

    To be admitted into the FIDE Programme, candidates must currently sit on the board of a financial institution.

Registration

  1. How much is the cost of the programme?

    The cost of the programme is RM 50,000 for each participant to be paid prior to the commencement of the programme.

  2. What payment methods are available to me?

    Payment should be made to Bank Negara Malaysia before commencement of the programme via RENTAS ("Real Time Electronic Transfer of Funds and Securities").

  3. When should payment be made?

    All fees must be paid in full, two weeks before the first module date.

  4. Is there a cancellation policy?

    Cancellations received within the 2 weeks prior to the date of the program are subject to a full forfeiture of the program fee.

  5. Is fee for FIDE tax deductible?

    We do not currently have status as a tax deductible educational program. Your accountant should be able to advise you on any business deductions that may be applicable to your institution.

Programme

  1. When will this programme commence?

    The pilot run for this programmes commences with the first module on 14 November 2008.

    There are 9 runs of the programme this year. The schedule is found in this website under the Course Calendar.

  2. Who should register for the FIDE?

    • Current directors sitting on boards of financial institutions.
    • Directors on boards of other public listed companies who are interested in becoming directors of FI.
    • Professionals with the required experience (to be decided by the Bank) who wish to be appointed to the boards of financial institutions.

  3. Where will the programme be run?

    The programme will be run at Lanai Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia, 2 Jalan Berjasa, 50480 Kuala Lumpur. Any changes will be announced and updated on our website. Click for location map.

  4. Is attendance mandatory at all sessions?

    For those participants who intend to pursue the FIDE programme, attendance at all sessions of all modules is mandatory. Only in cases of emergency will a participant be allowed to attend the same module at a future run.
