  • Dato' Mohd Razif Abd Kadir,
    Deputy Governor, Bank Negara Malaysia


    Dato' Mohd Razif Abd Kadir is the Deputy Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia. He joined Bank Negara Malaysia in 1976 and since then has held various senior positions in Bank Negara Malaysia. He currently oversees the development and regulation of the financial sector, including Islamic Finance and the Development Financial Institutions. He is a member of the Bank Negara Malaysia Board of Directors as well as the Management Committee and the Monetary Policy Committee.He sits on the Board of Directors of Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia, Cagamas Berhad (the National Mortgage Corporation) and is the Chairman of its subsidiary company, Cagamas CMBS Berhad. He is a member of the Board of Directors of International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) and also chairs its Professional Development Panel. He graduated with a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) degree from the University of Malaya and obtained his Masters in Business Administration (majoring in Finance) from the Syracuse University, New York, USA.

  • Dato' Muhammad bin Ibrahim,
    Deputy Governor, Bank Negara Malaysia


    Dato' Muhammad bin Ibrahim is the Deputy Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia responsible for the regulatory sector covering Islamic banks, takaful, banks, insurance, development of financial institutions and financial markets. He joined the Central Bank in 1984 and had served in many areas of central banking including of finance, banking supervision and regulation, strategic planning, payment systems, insurance, offshore banking and treasury and financial markets. He was the Managing Director of Danamodal Nasional Berhad, a bank recapitalization agency created during the Asian financial crisis. He is a trustee of the Tun Ismail Ali Chair Council, a commissioner of the Securities Commission of Malaysia, a former council member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a Senior Associate of the Institute of Bankers Malaysia. He is also a board member of Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Government Pension Agency - Incorporated). He graduated with an accounting degree from the University of Malaya and a masters degree from Harvard University.

  • Mr. Jean Pierre Sabourin,
    CEO, PIDM


    Jean Pierre Sabourin is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Malaysian Deposit Insurance Corporation (MDIC) since it's establishment in 2005. His extensive experienced and expertise in all aspects of deposit insurance rendering wide demand for his assistance by other countries on establishing and improving their deposit insurance systems. Among his many achievements, he served as chairman of the Financial Stability Forum's international study and working groups on deposit insurance and the first ever APEC Policy Dialogue on Deposit Insurance. In May 2002, he led the establishment of the International Association of Deposit Insurers and was elected its first Chair of the Executive Council and President, a position he held until the end of 2007. He was employed by Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) from 1976, and held various positions within CDIC before becoming its President and CEO in 1990, until his retirement in 2005. He is also Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the International Centre for Leadership in Finance (ICLIF). He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto.

  • Dato' Sri Abdul Hamidy bin Abdul Hafiz,
    Chairman, Danajamin Nasional Berhad


    Dato' Sri Abdul Hamidy is formerly the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Affin Bank Berhad. Dato' Sri Hamidy carries with him 30 years of extensive banking experience in the fields of finance, commercial, investment and Islamic banking. Prior to joining Affin Bank Berhad, Dato' Sri Hamidy was the managing Director of Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad, the first Malaysian national asset management company established by the Government with the primary objectives to re-energise the Malaysian financial sector by buying non-performing loans from financial institutions and maximise their recovery value during the financial crisis in 1997-1998. Over the years, Dato' Sri Abdul Hamidy has been playing an active role in th banking industry. He is currently the Chairman of Association of Banks in Malaysia, Vice Chairman of the Institute Bankers of Malaysia and sits on several other Boards of public companies in the financial services fraternity as well as advisory panels.

  • Tan Sri Megat Najmuddin bin Dato' Seri Dr. Haji Megat Khas,
    President MICG


    Tan Sri Dato' Seri Megat Najmuddin bin Dato' Seri Dr Hj Megat Khas is prominent in the corporate sector and holds several important posts. He is the President of both the Federation of Public Listed Companies Berhad ("FPLC") and the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance ("MICG"). He currently sits as the Non-Executive Chairman of 4 public listed companies, namely Tradewinds Corporation Berhad, Asian Pac Holdings Berhad, Formis Resources Berhad (formerly known as My-Infotech (M) Berhad), MajuPerak Holdings Berhad and SEG International Berhad. He sits as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of Dialog Group Berhad and Salcon Berhad. His previous appointments include as a member of the High Level Finance Committee of the Ministry of Finance, Capital Market Advisory Council of the Securities Commission ("CMAC"), member of the 2nd National Economic Consultative Council ("NECC2") and member of the Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee ("CDRC") established during the Asian financial crisis. He is also active in the Institute of Integrity Malaysia ("IIM"), Transparency Institute of Malaysia (TIM), and an Adjunct Professor at Faculty of Law, UUM. Tan Sri Megat Najmuddin also serves as an Advisor to the faculties of Business Administration and Accountancy of the University of Institute Technology Mara and University Malaya. He holds an Honours Degree in Law from University of Singapore.

  • Datuk Oh Chong Peng, Chairman,
    Alliance Financial Group


    Datuk Oh Chong Peng is currently the Independent non-Executive Chairman of Alliance Financial Group Berhad and also sits on the boards of British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Berhad, IJM Corporation Berhad, IJM Plantations Berhad, Star Publications (Malaysia) Berhad, Kumpulan Europlus Berhad, Malayan Flour Mills Bhd and several other private companies. Having previously been Chairman, he joined Coopers & Lybrand (now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers) in London in 1969 and in Malaysia in 1971. He was a Partner of Coopers & Lybrand Malaysia from 1974. He retired as a Senior Partner of Coopers & Lybrand in 1997 and then joined the Rashid Hussain Berhad Group of Companies in 1998 until 2003. At RHB, Datuk Oh was Chairman of RHB Management Company and sat on the Boards of the group's Banking, Securities and Insurance subsidiaries. He had undertaken his accountancy training in London from 1964 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1969. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales as well as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("MICPA") and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

  • Dato' Thomas Lee Mun Lung, Chairman,
    Alliance Bank Berhad


    Dato' Thomas Lee Mun Lung is the Chairman of Alliance Bank and Alliance Investment bank and Senior Partner of Lee Hishamuddin Allen and Gledhill. He is a barrister at law (England) who holds a Master of Arts (MA) and a Master of law (LLM) degrees from Cambridge University, England and has been in legal practice as an advocate and solicitor for over 40 years. He is the member of the Appeals Committee of Bursa Malaysia Berhad and an arbitrator with the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Lausanne, Switzerland.

  • Mr. Tan Keok Yin, Director,
    Hong Leong Bank Berhad


    Mr Tan Keok Yin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economics from the University of Malaya in 1966. He also completed an Executive Program in Management at the University of California, Berkeley in 1984 and a Program in International Boards and Directors at the Swedish Academy of Directors, Stockholm in 1995. He started his career with Bank Negara Malaysia ("BNM") in 1966 and served in various capacities in the Economics, Investments Departments and the Penang Branch of BNM. In 1977, he joined the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers ("FMM") as Deputy Director and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 1981 till 1999. He served on various Government Boards and Committees and participated actively as speaker and panelist at the World Economic Forum, ASEAN Economic Cooperation meetings and other international business forums. He was also a Management Board member of GS1 located in Brussels, which is an international body that develops and promotes the GS1 standards of article numbering, bar coding and electronic communication worldwide. Mr Tan was appointed to the Board of Hong Leong Bank Berhad (HLB) on 26 August 1994. He is the Chairman of the Board Audit Committee ("BAC") and Remuneration Committee of HLB and is a member of the Board Risk Management Committee ("BRMC") and Nomination Committee of HLB. He is also a Director of Malaysian Pacific Industries Berhad, GuocoLand (Malaysia) Berhad and Hong Leong Assurance Berhad.

  • Mr. Rajeev Peshawaria, Chief Executive Officer,
    The International Centre for Leadership in Finance (ICLIF)


    Rajeev joined ICLIF as CEO in April 2010. Prior to joining ICLIF, he spent 22 years working with blue chip corporations such as American Express, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, The Coca-Cola Company, and Morgan Stanley. He was the Chief Learning Officer and Global Head of Talent Management at Morgan Stanley where he created and led Morgan Stanley University – a globally integrated learning and consulting hub within the firm. Rajeev has extensive global experience in all aspects of Human Capital Management, with particular focus in the areas of Leadership Development, Organization Effectiveness, Performance Management, Succession Planning, and Learning & Development. He also specializes in coaching and facilitating senior management teams in their efforts to streamline Business Strategy, Organizational Architecture, and Culture. He earned an MBA from Webster University, Vienna, Austria, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Bombay, India, in Commerce & Economics.
